About this course

The central tool of this course is the Forward Deployed Studio — an 11-stage AI project workspace that takes your real use case from first question to executive presentation. You work through every stage on your own project, from Week 1 Day 1.

The ADLC Application runs alongside it as a thinking companion — a 6-phase framework that explains why each Studio stage exists and what decisions you're actually making inside it. EvalForge links from Stage 7 for evaluation. Admin Console connects at Stages 9–10 for production governance.

Intake
Frame the question. What problem is actually being asked? Who owns the outcome?

Assess
Run the 5-signal suitability test. Automatic verdict: suitable / borderline / not suitable.

Process Map
Map the as-is process in 3 lanes — confident, escalate, can't touch. Find the failure mode first.

Architecture
Document AI approach, connector map, data boundaries, and degraded-mode behavior.

Dev Specs
Write the Specify document — 5 fields that define what the AI must do, must never do, and when it stops.
06
Data Science
Classify your data. Define access boundaries. Document what the model needs and what it must never touch.
07
Evals
Build your golden set (typical, edge, adversarial, out-of-scope). Design the judge rubric. Run in EvalForge.

POC
Log your score. Make the GO / COND / NO-GO call with data. Studio blocks advancement on NO-GO.

Production
Complete the 8-item readiness checklist. Write rollout strategy. Configure guardrails in Admin Console.

Observability
Define 3 metrics, targets, and alert thresholds. Write the incident playbook for 6 failure types.
11
Brief
Write and deliver the executive brief — the 5-minute speakable you present to a skeptical VP.

The primary tool

The 11-stage AI project workspace. Your use case runs through every stage — from Intake (framing the question) through Brief (presenting to a VP). Every stage has structured fields, a Definition of Done, and a coaching layer.

ADLC Application
Thinking companion

The 6-phase AI Development Lifecycle framework that explains why each Studio stage exists. Built-in superpowers: Grill Skill (constrained agent dispatch) and Specify tab (agent-readability scoring per field).

EvalForge
Linked from Studio Stage 7

AI output evaluation. Golden set management, LLM-as-judge rubric builder, Groq-powered scoring, score distribution analysis, POC gate reporting. 20 cases scored in under 30 seconds.

Admin Console
Linked from Studio Stages 9–10

Agent governance and observability. Full trace capture for every Grill Skill session, guardrail event monitoring, human-review queue, session audit trails.

Curriculum — week by week

2 async videos per week (~15–20 min each). 2 live sessions per week (60 min each). You work on your own real use case throughout.

Pre-course: Watch the 11-stage Studio walkthrough on a completed project. Choose your use case. If you don't have one yet, use the provided insurance claim triage template.

Learn whether your project is actually an AI problem. Map the process in 3 lanes. Make your first real decision — a suitability verdict. The Studio Intake stage is where most failed AI projects could have been stopped.
